So, it that a Franklin transmission? Or didn't Westys get those until WCI took over?

You really can't find a nicer guy and SO much fun to be around!

Conrats on the new tranny! Maybe you can help me figure out a problem I'm having with my Westy TL. Why does it "click" during agitation?

Pure Westinghouse Design........

The washer that I have is 100% Westinghouse design, NOT WCI/Franklin. Their design and trannies are similar, both with indexing tubs, but the Westinghouse tranny is all metal construction and quite sturdy. They had a tendency to leak oil similar to the GE's but not as much......and the lack of a tub brake prolonged their life quite a bit......

Gotta love those NOS parts - especially big ones! This will keep a washer running for a long, long time.

That was especially generous of you, Mark!!

Ya'll are making me blush..... I'm sure as I dig into more of these boxes, there will be much more goodies to be found. Just glad to be able to get one of these old machines up and running again! Mark
