Take the belts off, and see if the motor runs.

half second motor

Hi, 'run' windings broken so only runs on 'start' windings? Or is the motor polling due to a worn rear motor bush?

Just thought i'd throw my two bobs worth in!

May already be bypassed.
Doesn't explain the half-second pump-out.
Can't hurt to check if all wires to motor are still connected.
Does it do the same thing upon wash/agitation? (i.e. motor in reverse direction?)

Sounds like it's either the motor or motor start switch. The motor start switch would be the cheapest route to replace first.

Could the pump be locked? You'd think the belt would still turn though........

Oops, somehow I missed this post.

I can't seem to find a switch with that number. Actually, that number doesn't even sound right. Usually it will start with a 2 (example 2-05131).

Is this the original motor? If it's, I should be able to find the correct part # via microfiche.

I'll be out of town through Saturday without access to the internet, so I should have a definitive answer for you by then.

Looks like we need to break things down a little more. According to the fiche, there are 3 different motors using 3 different start switches.

Motor# Start Switch#
2-5132 2-1664-4
2-5133 2-1664-8
2-5139 2-1664-5
