For all of our Wisconsin contingent: A806 out on Craigslist - check it out!

I know you can't resist a tub light ;-)

I'm calling the seller tomorrow. I had a center dial Maytag growing up and if it weren't for that machine I wouldn't be on this website. It's gonna be a long drive but I personally think it's worth it. I do hope that 5 means S :)

Jed - way to go! Keep us posted - cannot wait to see you with this machine. I would almost bet the 5 is an 'S' :-)

I just picked up the same machine today

I just got my A806 that I got from Ebay. It is real nice, the tub lights up, never seen that one before. I do have a question. The back is supposed to light up I assume. How do I change the bulb and where do I get the bulb from. The machine is sweet it has two speeds and extra large capacity.

Your problem could be the bulb or the starter. Both are cheap and easily found at any hardware store.

You must have an earlier version 806 if you have a tub light. I'm assuming you have the skinny chrome strip that sits on top of the front panel as well. Do you have a chrome lint filter?
