Ok, I wanted an older Maytag, bought an A208 of of craigslist but when spining, had a little leak. The older DD kenmore I had given my sister had flooded her garage a few times, so bought her a Dependable Care set at a garage sale "Oh the washer works fine, the lady said" - yea right! Brake messed up - would screech to a halt then got to spining while washing. Bought a new brake, come to find out there was an oil leak and couldn't get the brake off. Long story short - bought her a new washer and the other is in my garage. Also have a FAbric Matic with an oil leak that I picked up from a neighbor of a friend. So thinking I am going to be giving these away if anybody wants them, but probably mid July - will post pics and stuff then. Well anyway, about a month was going to buy a $50 A612 off craigstlist, about 2 hours before leaving to pick it up the guy emails me that he sold it to somebody local. Bummer. But was able to find another for $100 on the north side of Eagle Mountain Lake. Nice drive and nice washer. Has a small oil leak, hope it holds up.
So finally here it is:

love the cycles

Really like the long soak / wash that leads directly into the regular wash cycle.

same load in the Atlantis

I was surprised that the capacity of the Atlantis is really not that much more than the A612 - looks can be decieving.
And the Atlantis can't do anything with lint and sand but leave it on your clothes. It's only about 4-5 years old, could use a 3rd timer and has left a little bit of oil on the floor. Does wash the hell out of the clothes though - and love the extra rinse. ATC sucks though.
