For the first time in 21 years, my ISE dishwasher is complaining. The seal in the sump between the spray arm mechanism and the motor is crumbling leaving black crud in the sump after the cycle is finished.
I was told yesterday that the seal is unavailable. Does the word "obsolete" sound familiar?
This is basically a Hobart made Kitchen Aid machine.
Does anyone have a seal or know where I can get one?
Thanks.

Try www.repairclinic.com.... I saw the seals on there not too long ago. Also check in with our own SteveT...he's our resident Hobart expert, and he may have one lying about the garage somewhere.
Yes, the sad news is that Whirlpool seems to have decided to increase their sales by obsoleting most of the 21 series parts as of late. Now we will have to grab any of these units we find for spare parts. If you let me know via pictures or a breakdown of what you actually are having a problem with, I may be able to help you out with either something of my own or maybe parts which are still available from Hobart. We sell the SR24M which is basically the WM5 or KD18-20 series washpump assy. But you never know what lurks in the boxes in my attic..For that matter, neither do I! Hope to hear from you Steve
