Early 70's Lady Kenmore Washer........

"bpetersxx":

Actually, the washer pictured in that link could also be one of the last 3-Speeds with the Vari-Flex Agitator. The Lady Kenmore with a 3-Speed Motor and a Vari-Flex Agitator has had that style of lid back in 1972, and therefore, could possibly be a 1972-73 model (the last model with a 3-Speed Motor and a Vari-Flex Agitator).

But then again, you could be right as well. While they still had that style of console in 1974 (but check out the actual console with the cover raised and look at the push-buttons..... the push-buttons would look different on a 1974-75 model than they would on the 1972-73 model), that would be the year they cheapen the Lady Kenmore out. They did away with the 3-Speed Motor and subsituted it with a 2-Speed Motor and went with a Penta-Swirl Agitator. That would also be the first Lady Kenmore with the Large Capacity Tub.

But I cannot be sure or certain until the cover is raised somehow.

Matching Set????

"goatfarmer":

Nope...... that's NOT a matching set. The control panels are definitely different. The dryer is one of the "match-all" Kenmores that we have seen from the mid 1970's on. And plus..... the dryer has a "drop-down" plug style door. A matching Lady Kenmore Dryer would have a full-width door like the one I saw on the Craig's List a couple days ago (but with a notched door handle instead of the arched metal one that I say on that particular dryer).

And unless the camera is playing tricks,

there appears to be a long suds-return hose in the sink, which makes this a rare and unusual Lady K Keyboard. I hope someone gets this, since it is a treasure.
Who among our member lives in Indiana? Only a couple of hours left. This is a dream machine.

Argh

What I hate about Craigslist is that the pictures always suck and the details written by the seller suck too... Frusturating, I mean would you buy a car with out even knowing the brand and the model??
