Hi guys,

Have decided to part with my baby Bendix from around 1947, as well as the dryer, from approximately 1952.

The washer actually runs well. I ran a cycle about a year ago. The timer will not advance on its own, however, and the drain tube needs replacment as it leaks badly. I am including with it the original manual, and some cool retro soap and a bottle of Mrs. Stewart's bluing.

The dryer is electric. I have not been able to test it as it requires a new plug to match modern outlets.

Both machines are in beautiful condition, particularly the dryer. On the washer, unfortunately the Bakelite handle broke off halfway. The tub looks near-new, no stains or corrosion.

Below are photos. Am asking $100 each; you pick up, no shipping.

Any questions please email me at decodriveboy@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Patrick

Sorry to "lift" this photo from a member -- this is not my actual machine, but the model of Bendix washer I am selling. My camera is broken and I did not have any photos readily available.

(I will be happy to take some with my camera phone if asked.)
