I'm amazed at how long they made this model. starting in like 80 and going into the 90s. I know you could originally order them with Avacodo.

This is a 1987-1989 model, given the white cycle indicator. I bought mine May, 1986, and it had a red indicator on the cycle indicator. Per your profile Mike, you are almost as old as that dishwasher. It was a darn good one too, at least mine was because I made sure the water valve filler properly and didn't have sediment in it--a new valve halfway through it's 21 years it was here.

the pic that I posted up was the not the same one that is here in this kitchen but is the same model and style. I do not post things on craigslist because last time I did that I got a whole lot of spam. but if anyone is interested please let me know and I will happily be glad to trade it for a newer dishwasher. there is also a kitchenaid that works but needs a little restoration job other than that both work fine.

Mike

and thank you all so much for the info. I thought it was from either the 70s or 80s.

Does the machine have a primered panel?

Hi Mike, do you know if the machine has a primered panel that I can paint?

I bought one of these new-in-box in May of 1993 (it was several years old and in clearance at Lowe's). It was the most awesome dishwasher I've had (3 GEs and a Whirlpool). After 10 years I built a new house which came with GE Profiles. My current tall-tub dishwasher is absolutely no comparison and I find myself wishing I had my old machine back all the time.

Mine had the ivory colored racks, and I think three panels inside - white/almond, black/harvest gold, and green/primer. I could paint the primered panel to match the Bisque (don't ask) in my current kitchen, then gleefully take the tall-tub POS to the dump.
