And have you wondered what kind of washers were inside the flying saucer. And when the power went out at noon everywhere, do you think they were powering up the first fleet of 4 speed Rollermatic prototypes for delivery to GM?

Well, i sure did! ;'D

So when ya gonna show us the loot 4 sale at the mid-summer's bounty harvest?

Stevie, you merry prankster. Tried to email you this afternoon and you know what pops up in the "TO" space after clicking on your club address?: "FAKE" I vow to you in public tonight, that I have never sent a nasty e-mail, so open it up, Sugar! I also tried to email Chestermike, and just as LOUIS has said somewhere today or yesterday, C-Mikey's email does not work either. How are we to communicate sweet things privately if the senior, seasoned, beloved members of the club are blocking communication? I can't write in the Imperial forum what I wanted to discuss with you today.

Jeff, I want some of that dope you're smoking. It's verada or veraahda, any way you prefer, BUT NOT BERADA. Also it's direst address: the classic 50's lady says, "Gort, Klahtu Verada Niclko," so she can't be talking to Verada, she's talking to Gort, and Verada is the forst word of the command, but you made me laugh my non-smelly butt off. Bet you a washer I'm right, If wrong, public spanking. By the way, I think you're wonderful!!!!

To Patriarch Gyrafoam, son of Yahweh: AND NOW FOR SACRILEGE: May I buy the Custom Imperials. I love multimatics more than Unimatics. May God forgive me and save me!!!

Northwesty------

There are a number of surviving early '50's Whirlys.
Mark has a few in Wytheville I know of. Fabulous marbleized red agitator!
And here at John's warehouse there is a pair of '56's like the POD's and that loner 1950 machine. You never know what might be lurking in one of our garages or basements------. Any hidden treasure?

What is the story that these are all sitting outside next to the train tracks? Were they in a warehouse that had to be suddenly emptied? They don't look as if they've always been outside.

There are some real beauties there. I hope everyone that has been hoping to find a dream machine can benefit from this. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Blue Whirly pictures:

Whirly is nice, so is that 1965-ish Kenmore three machines to it's left. I wonder what the machine is that appears to be wrapped up. Also, if I am correct, to the right of the Whirly appears to be a 1960 Kenmore 80 series dryer. You can see it more fully in the second picture of the Whirlpool.

I am also curious as to how these machines wound up outside. They look to be in remarkably good condition given the fact they are exposed to the weather. I agree with pdub. They must have been put out there not too long ago. I would guess within the last few months.

Have a good one,
James

At 11: 30 in the morning I call your photo a supermarket, and say talk to you soon.

At 8:30 in the evening I talk to you for the first time and you're in a supermarket. "Insane in the mid-brain."

These are the delights of life. As are the men who save vintage machines from destruction, store them in warehouses when they know they will neither use nor keep most of them, AND-- pay the rent, prolonging the washers' lives, giving them a glimpse of infinity. What dedication! How lucky we are to have such men. Thank You. I salute you.

that Match-All dryer is the EXACT same one Mom had, right down to the color, that thing was a work horse, and not in bad shape, was bought at an estate auction for 50 bucks, she bought it in 84 and it lasted until 97 when the motor finally died on it.
