Hi, I have a couple of questions concerning Speed Queen topload washers that are coin operated, used in laundromats. A laundromat around here about 7 years ago had 32 SQ toploaders, 20 of which were very old, and 11 of those were harvest gold. They weren't solid tubs, but some still had the lid switch plunger (it wasn't yet concealed behind the lid) Anyway I just wondered how old these machines would be. Unfortunately 9 were replaced a few years ago, leaving 10, 4 of which were harvest gold. I was just there today and sadly only ONE of the original 20 is still operating, the others that are still there are broken.

i owned one in the early 2000's and it ran like a champ. i had no problems with it other then i never wired it off so i still had to put the coins in to get it to run.
