Hey Bob.

The older Speed Queens used to have a much longer overflow. Now it seems shorter and you don';t get the "Throaty" sound of the pump when she starts.I still get the sound of the pump after she fills and starts the wash. I'm going to do a few more loads tommorow, and maybe I'll figure out on my new cameras , how to do a video.

Oh wow - this Speed Queen is BEAUTIFUL! While the overflow rinse may not be as long as you'd like; I'm just happy that they even had an overflow rinse ;-). All the mechanicals look nice and the pump even looks like it was replaced fairly recently. Seems like this one is rust free and in great shape. As Peter said they certainly are one of the best,

Ben

OH....MY...GOD.....

That is the EXACT same Speed Queen my Mom bought brand new at a Firestone store when I was like 5 years old, it worked beautifully and only needed to have a belt and pump replaced. It was the last brand new one she bought until we got our newer SQ set in 98...everything else in between was used Kenmores and Whirlpools and she finally decided to get brand new again. You cant beat the oldies but goodies.
