Well, that was NOT the original dishwasher to the house if it was built in 1965. AND, the racks look like it was used quite well by the original owners prior to the sale of thehouse in 1994--1974 to 1994.

Thanks for posting Kelly. You are certainly right that dishwashers are not quite made like this anymore. Appreciate the thought to see if someone wanted to use it for parts or restoration before tossing it out.

Ben

appnut, what would the proper vintage be for this dishwasher? About what year would you say it was made?

Truth be told!

Looks like the seller is way off on the dates!

The 17 series was produced from June of '71 thru July of '74
Maybe someone should email him and let him know so he can correct the inaccuracies!

Steve, I venture to say tis particular one was built toward the end of the product run because of the energy saver dry button. Early 17s dind't have that feature. Neighbors at our lake house had an Imperial, house built in 1970 or 1971 and it didn't have energy saver dry. This was the same lady I almost caused a coronary on when I started digging in her dishwasher and removing wash arm to get to filte. She didn't pre-rinse, just scraped. I asked her if she ever checked the filter. "What filter?" she asked. That's when I did my DW diving. There was some food bits, but also a mayonaise jar label in the filter. From then on, she told me she checked it periodically

Mea Culpa! Mea Culpa!

App, you are right!
The "A" series 17ers were actually built from July of 1974 thru August of 1976
Sorry there!
Steve
