Is this a keeper? I don't know much about dishwashers, but I do like the colour...

I'm guessing it could be either a KitchenAid or Whirlpool, but I wish the picture was larger.

HMMM???

The ad says it is a Viking Dishwasher but it does look alot like the older style portables KitchenAId used to make.
Very possible they made it for Viking, just like they made machines for Insinkerator. Derived from standard KA models but with slightly different badging. Ironically, Viking picked up the Kitchenaid disposer line. Guess they would have been too expensive for Whirpool to be competitive and they switched the K/A disposers to ISE units.
And now the new ISE's are somewhat reminiscient of how Hobart made the K/A disposers thugh they still have a rather flimsy shredding ring in the new ones and the K/A's had the solid cast ring in theirs. Commercial quality in a home model!

Viking in Canada

is/was NOT the same as US Viking.

Viking in Canada was Eaton's (national department store) house brand, rebadged from other manufacturers. Eatons is now defunct, last I heard.

Viking from the States is sold as "Ultraline" in Canada.

Very different lines.

I'm thinking that the Eaton dishwashers (Vikings) were made by GE. You can ask if it has the boat propellor type spray mechanisim. I'd grab it if it's working.
