Hi Guys

Here is another addition to the collection which arrived a few weeks ago. It's a 1965 Wilkins Servis automatic based on a UK design.

The machine is in working order but does need some holes in the outer tub patched up before putting it through a complete cycle.

The owner still had the original instruction manual in excellent condition.

Cheers
Leon

Wow Leon,

I still cant quite imagine where you're putting them all, but congrats on getting another one :)

Cheers,

Any more due?

mayfan69's profile picture
Hi Nathan,

Yes, i have 3 more to arrive within the next 3 weeks or so:

The Frigidaire i bought last October, a Wilkins Servis Twin Tub and a matching Simpson dryer from ebay to match one of the push button Fluid Drives.

And that will be it for the time being.

Cheers
Leon

What a cool looking and funcitoning machine! I love that Hi-Lo Dispenser agitator.
What is that crazy last cycle on the dial? It looks like it starts with spin-spray then rinse then spin again? Or is that really just two cycles I am seeing and the white blaze is just some kind of divider?

Last Cycle...

Hey Jon,

The last cycle actually starts as the "Wash and Soak"....the white "gaps" are where the washer pauses before the spin.

The 2nd cycle is actually the Delicates cycle.

Cheers
Leon

Wilkins Servis

This is absolutly a awsome washer - I like the styling and the setup. The removeable adjator reminds me of the westinghouse TL and Hotpoint designs. But I like this one better.
Hope it is restored.
Best Wishes,
Peter

Another gorgeous Aussie original. Imagine: Spin & Spray, and Warm Deep Rinse, marked right on the dial--very exciting for me and many.

The two stage rocket agitator--WILD, shades of the Jetcone to come.

Congratulations!

I always enjoy seeing your new machines.

But I am a bit worried about how you can say no more! Now that you have said that I am sure a Fabulous 89 will turn up.

Anyway, I know you have enough to do, but you will need to photograph and catalogue your collection for us all to enjoy. How many machines have you got now?

Not necessarily last machines

mayfan69's profile picture
Hey Ash,

Thanks. I didn't exactly say that i was no longer looking for any more machines, just that what is arriving are the machines that i needed to arrange transport from last year.

So yes, i still want the Fabulous 89, plus a couple others!

Currently, with what will be arriving soon, the collection stands at 23.

Cheers
Leon

Leon, that is one beautiful machine! Does the entire console light up?

Lighted Control Panel?

Hi Terry

Thanks, but alas, the control panel doesn't light up.

Wish it did though

Leon

Hi Leon, just thought i would say hi from over the pond..luv your latest addition !! which is the equivalent, to our Mark42, Wilkins Servis was slightly more ahead of us in design, as in 1965 in the UK we would have still had the Mark 38, which had a totally different control panel (pic attached)

I did notice that your machine had some thing that the uk machines never had, well to my knowledge anyway, it is a "soap dispenser" cover..never seen this on any UK servis top loader's.. would be nice to have your two Servis top loaders side-by-side.
Cheers
Keith
