yall know I live in houston and maybe, just maybe,I'll be able to get these. It's been a while since I had that washer.I had one similar and think it was more likew the dryer.it was a Super model not Imperial.i am not sure whether this unit has the Unimatic or Pulsamatic trans. The one I had had the Pulsamatic and didn't have the Rapidry spin.

This is a Unimatic washer with an air-flow (non-filtrator) dryer

This would be a 1956 Unimatic washer - and a airflow (non-condenser) 1958 dryer.

Cool digs! Curious to see what the 'dime size' hole looks like. I would suspect photos to be popping up soon.......

Ben

In the Dallas area, shouldn't be a problem to have it picked up for shipping or YouCrate.

Dime sized hole in the tank... So it's NOT working then ;-)

in the tank....hmm do you think they mean the tub or the outer tub? I bet the outer tub, that was thin porcelain!

Wow... That has to be the first BOL Frigidaire dryer we have ever seen. I think this would have matched Robert's grandmother's Pulsamatic? It looks like it would match my WS-59 ir the control panel was painted blue.

Since they can't sell them, I just asked them if they'd be willing to ship... I wouldn't mind having the "ugly duckling" Unimatic LoL!

Nice pixs!

Isn't that odd how the outer tub looks spotless, but the spin tub is rusted through?? I have seen them rusted at the brace area on the sides of the spin tub where the braces were spot welded, then collect loose strings, or at the balance ring, but not right at the bottom like that!

At any rate, it is a very nice looking machine, and the tub is repairable. Good luck dude!! <:

Thanks for the congrats guys! Will be making a call to Bobbie @ YouCrate on Tuesday. Weather pending, I suspect we'll be seeing yet another Unimatic in Iowa hopefully next week!

Of course, many pictures to follow. Thinking of different ways to plug that hole, with class. Some grey POR-15 for the finish. Piece of metal - or an epoxy-based paste?

Ben
