Talked a gym rat buddy into purchasing a used center dial Maytag instead of new piece of junk (again) He owned a WP shredder, that "bit the dust" It is a model # 107AS, and it even has a suds saver. It looks like new, so it may have belonged to a little old lady that did her heavy stuff in her "ringer" <:) He LOVES the machine, and he may even try to find a matching dryer. He wondered what year this machine was built. I told him that they are all(1960's-1970's) the same machine anyway, but he still would like to know. So what year or years were the model # 107AS produced? Thanks guys! |

I don't think I have seen the model number configured exactly that way, but it looks to be the 07 series which was produced in the early to mid 70s. Have a good one, James |

Hi Kenny, I will check with him when I see him again. What do you get for your dryers? (i will let him know) Yes, his washer is white, btw. I bet it is an A107S. Are those mid 1970's models? He said the control panel is silver, not gold or blue. I have not seen the machine yet, but will be seeing it, as he wants me to jump the lid switch. The dude doesn't like the fact that EVERYTHING stops wihen he opens the lid. My 58 Maytag has mercury switches, so it was easy to jump that without defeating the out of balance switch. What is the best way to disable the lid switch, without defeating the out of balance switch on the 60's/70's center dial Maytags? Thanks guys! |
