Hey Guys,
Well today, i sold my newwave, thought it was a good idea at first, didn't get much for it, then when i cleaned it up and ran it through a rinse for it's new owner, i began to regret my decision, though, i've decided its made me more determined to get shot of our hotpoint in the kitchen for something older that will fit in with our kitchen.

Question is, have you guys ever sold a machine on then though "D'oh!!" "why did i do that?"

Darren

Oh Darren, Darren, Darren...

You're talking to a man who, before discovering this website, gave up a never-used 1959 Lady Kenmore set and a late-70's Frigidaire 1-18----within two days of each other!

There are probably still heel marks on my ass from kicking myself.

No, Darren - here's my opinion -don't worry about it. I really hope all goes well for you as no pregnancy is easy.

I think you need to get shot of that Hotpoint and have a decent machine to support you as a father to give your little treasure(s) beautiful clean outfits to wear without stress or hassle. Funnily enough I also got rid of a shit Hotpoint in 2004 just before our first. One decent washer is far more important than having a bunch of old ones taking up space and time, both of which may well be at a premium. I also found that with babies, nostalgia also becomes far less important, and the future takes over.

I found that my focus changed onto stain removal and not irritating skin!

Regards

Nick

Hi Darren, hope you are well, will get to speak to you sometime.

Remember the AEG 2200 I had? Well that was taken when I got the Aqualtis. After ordering I discovered the plug was dead not the machine but was too quick to replace it. I regret it now but it was actually quite a fun machine. I wish I had got a film of it.

I suppose that is what I really regret, not getting more films in years ago.

Hey Darren, yeah I know how you feel after I sold my New Wave.
I miss my Servis Quartz and my Hoover vision mk1 also but we move on don't we.

Well at the end of the day you've had the experience of it and there are after all plenty of washers out there to play with so don't get to down over it.

I'm shortly going to part with my lovely old AEG cause I about to gain another two machines this week and it will give me more incentive to get the Asko up and running.

Speak to u soon.

Steve

Hey guys thanks for all the replys!

So, it was my birthday yesterday, and i got some cash, so i'm goin to save half of it for our little boys arrival, and i'm goin to treat myself, sell the hotpoint and replace it with something moderny-vintage, somethin with a decent spin and variable temp n rinse.

Darren

several occasions, it depends on my mood and space needs and how much the machine hurt me in the overhaul process at the "Time of Decision"!

I tossed my lovely 1956 Kenmore over to GregM after I wrenched out my shoulder joint on the stupid tranny levers and it killed me with pain for two solid years even just rolling over in bed! OUT IT WENT!
But I do miss it so don't sell it Greg!

But I know a secret, I know someone here who did the MOTHER of all toss outs and is still kicking themselves. They should come forward here and confess their sin in this thread but my lips are sealed!!

It wasnt me guv honest!!!!

Darren, never worry if its meant to be you will have it!!! another one (may) always turn up!!!, been done done it, last yr up Hoover autocare 800 shot at tough state, thought cant bear to unload this twice to storage so drove it straight to the tip...did the same with my first Servis MK70, picked it up and the tub had rusted through..never seen it before, no could have swapped the tub out but sometimes you think do I really need this like a headache...so straight to the municiple it went.....I was later looking (and paid for) a new pump tyre......so we`ve all done it ...

AND, the washer gods dont strike us downm just look & laugh I think...LOl, enjoy the painting, Mike

p.s. all the best on your September birthdays boys, i`m just before with a lot of years after!!!
