Hi Arrrooohhh, My mum had one also, it was a great machine a real workhorse and yes the "double wash action" feature was interesting with it's indexing tub,it also had a tray-shaped lint filter which was attatched to the top of the washbowl and clipped out when it needed emptying. I am not too sure but I think this was Mum's favourite washing machine, just in front of her even older Simpson fluid drive semi-automatic machine. Cheers. Steve. |

Sorry Arrrooohhh, I also meant to add to the previous post that this Westinghouse had as a feature (it may have been the first to do so,please correct me if I am wrong.),the safety lid lock,the lid was actually locked down into place when the cycle started, unlike now where most machines just stop if you open the lid.3 If you needed to open the lid, you had to push the cycle selector in to stop the cycle,(which was a real pain when I liked to see what was happening inside.). |
