at cleaning and so much fun that it defies description--this from someone who THOUGHT he was done with them for good, having been overloaded with frigi's all thru childhood. But now, middle-aging and owning one, back in love, Bobloading the hell out of it, remembering how we'd rush to the laundry room when DAD was washing, grabbing random handfuls and packing the Uni to the max and beyond. BLANKETS O' SUDS, flashing in tongues |

Oh yeah, my mother killed a Unimatic that way. I think the culprit was Wisk when it first debuted in the metal can. The old Tide formulae was another one. If that didn't do it then Ivory Snow certainly could. |

Fo I became addicted to Bobloads, and to the superior cleaning power of the frigidaire's. Any load, any dirt, and color, any fabric, doesn't matter, ten minutes in the Unimatic--and NO-- I never use the RAYON setting--what a riot, that--everything comes out clean. Since I stopped using it, I have noticed the faint chocolate and berry stains of summer luxury on my white T's. That didn't happen ONCE all summer in the Frigi--I promise.

two Kirby's. This one stands on the deck in its permanent attachment mode, one leg n' foot crossed over the other, waiting to EAT SPIDERS coming out after the muggy rains. Here's for the wonderful Vacuum dudes. I DID finally stain the deck, the rain pooling nicely instead of soaking in, risking rot. the Kirby bag is lusty and full of its summer bounty of spiders. God, how they hate a taste of their own treatment. |

Happy to see you and thanks, but it's not the soap and not the motor protector button. There's something else going on. I already know, and will give a clue tomorrow unless everyone gets sick of it, then I'll just give it away. It's interesting and somewhat complex to figure out. JED, I LOVE THE GIANT LETTERS. WILL LEARN HOW TO MAKE THEM. |

That's the only number I can find; it's under the front hood behind the light. Would that be the place? Every other surface is worn clean. Terry, this thing is a beast. Notice the double long wand hook-up to get the high riding spiders. The Kirby is merciless. The blue hose is from a local shop that sells used Kirby parts, 10 bucks; the old brown one wore out. This WAS a brown Kirby, originally. The blue bag is bleached from many washings in the Hoover TT which handles the bag marvelously. Imagine the sweetness of the Irony. Only a Hoover can clean a Kirby. Jed, I forgot your Uni was away at the Museum of Restoration. What better place to be except of course at home. I didn't know you were so hooked, What a fix they give! ;'D Love and appreciate your entusiasm; it's the fountain of youth. |

speaking of chucks of fudge: Mikey you make me laugh so hard that....well, I won't say it, but I feel explosive rumblings down below. ooo ooo ewwww Steve, you're getting close, Buddy, but the drain is clear. I'll post a clue after lunch. Thanks for the warning, but she belly-buttoned up only once, and I switched from Lilac Tide to HE. As much fun as it is to press that button, instinctively sensed that it wasn't something to enjoy often! |

I want to play. I know what I did to my machine. I thought it would be fun if you guys wanted to figure out WHAT is busted and HOW I busted it. That's all it is. If no one wants to play, that's okay. Hey IT'S FRIDAY AND I'm home and free, nothing on my plate today--YAY!--getting ready to photo Gansky's WP clone and Geoff's Model J twin, after my bike ride. I LOVE IT when I don't HAVE to do anything and am free to the whims of the hour, don't you, too?! We're usually so damned busy, so many demands. CLUE NUMBER ONE, VISUAL: (With clue #2, anyone who reads what the club's pro's say in their tutorials to us, their beloved students, will guess the solution in seconds.) |

In a little bit, tonight or tomorrow, you can post it for me in your cool giant script. Clue Number Three: When this part breaks, the machine does not notice, because everything else works, and there is no way for this part to disrupt any other aspect of the operation, and the Unimatic proceeds through all its cycles unfazed like a beautiful woman with a huge run in her hose. You need to do only one thing to compensate, short of replacing the part, for which I will indeed soon be begging;'D |

I don't know about a "worm auger" but a "worm-gear clamp" will do the trick! |

My Steve, what a way to use your noggin; great idea! Mike, why did you have to go and stuff your Unimatic like that? ;-) The bellows are around. Just a few weeks/months ago someone posted a used, but in good condition, water bellows on ebay. I don't think it sold, maybe the seller still has it around? Love those open water shots off your porch/deck area. That is something you don't get very often here in the midwest. Ben |
