Can anyone age that Speed Queen

Hi guys

Is anyone able to tell the age of that Speed Queen - my grandmother had a machine exactly like that through til the 1970s/1980s in Ireland. I'm guessing it came in the 50s - their house (like many in rural Ireland) only got electricity in the late 40s after the war. It is the only Speed Queen wringer I have ever seen in Ireland, though I guess there may have been others - I have no idea where they got it alas. I can remember my Aunt using it when I was kid - it seemed to take at least two to operate it, and I recall the red agitator cap left a mark on the underside of the wash lid.

It would be really interesting to know more about these machines, and if many were exported. It seems Ireland had imports (like GE Filter-flo toploaders in the 70s and 80s) that didn't come to the UK.

Thanks

David
