what is the "detergent/softener dispenser drawer" for on the dryer?? Seems strange to see a drawer like that on a dryer. I was gonna guess lint filter, but it seems there is a filter in the door.

Condenser dryers have a reservoir for the condensate. It looks like a detergent dispenser drawer.

Now my question: is the door window glass or plastic?

Hi this looks very similar to the dryer i have purchased to replace my broken Miele one! Are you pleased with it,because i haven't recieved it yet as John Lewis don't have it in stock,so i could get a Miele if you think it's better.

BSH Dryer

Hi variomatic,
Congratulations on your new dryer, it is very similar to my Bosch Logixx model they are great dryers.

Hi Michael,
You will not be disappointed with the Siemens Dryer, as I mentioned above I have the Bosch Logixx which is virtually identical to the Siemens. I love my Bosch dryer, its in its third year of use now and no problems with it whatsoever. They are extremely quiet for condenser dryers.

Hi mielabor,
The door is heat resistant glass.

David

Firstable, thanks for all your replies.

The "drawer" is needed for the water that is coming from the wet washing. It is very common here to have condenser dryers since most houses donīt have the opportunity to operate a vented dryer.

The door is made out of plastic and glass. The inside is glass and the outside is plastic.

@kirri:

I think itīs a great dryer! It is very fast (only 50-60 minutes) and very gentle to the clothes with its special softdry system which includes the special drum (like Mieleīs honeycomb drum).
