Hey guys, here's my Unimatic in all it's glory, compressed into 9 minutes. It turned out pretty well. Hope you enjoy!

Overflow rinse

So, the whole time it fills while agitating, is that fresh water overflowing the rinse? How many gallons does a wash load take?

Post# 310507 , Reply# 5   10/20/2008 at 18:05 (5,638 days old) by tuthill ()

Yep, during the last 1.5 minutes of the wash and during the entire deep rinse the tub is being filled with water. This helps float away lint and other crap. There is no recirculation or anything like that. The entire cycle consumes only 28 gallons of water.

LOVE it Jed!!! Congrats on getting it fixed up and home!

Is your current dryer electric? I bet you could convince your parents to let you hook it up with the cold winter coming to save on heating bills!!! lol

Lol Jamie, I don't have any immediate plans to hook up the Filtrator.

Beautiful job on the restoration guys! I love how all the unimatics sound so much the same but just a little unique in their own way.

Have fun - you'll never get bored playing with this washer.

very cool...where did you get the three ring agitator? Do you notice any difference with tangling between the two agitators?

Post# 310578 , Reply# 11   10/20/2008 at 23:01 (5,638 days old) by tuthill ()
Hey Rich

I just took the 3 ring agitator out of my 1959 Frigidaire Multi-Matic. I haven't noticed a difference in tangling because I have not had any tangling with either agitator. I believe proper outloading techniques can eliminate this problem.

Hey! Thanks!

Great video! Thanks for sharing. Once I get the converted Windows Media download (Online.Movavi.com), I can add it to my Frigidaire folder.--Laundry Shark

I love how you shot so much of the video high up and behind.

Watch the overloading, Brother Jetro!!!! Honest. "Fill loosely to rim of tub," as the Fourth Commandment of God Frigidaire goes, and the machine may last forever. Hope springs eternal :>
