Absolutely beautiful! Is that a 6kg set? How does the dryer handle large loads from the washer?

It is the 6k set

It does well for large loads. The dryer is really quiet and gentle on clothes. Build like a tank.

Do things come out of the dryer wrinkled at all with large loads?

Nice pair :-))

For sure they 'll never let you down for many, many years.
Expecially these models without those crazy things such as the "beach-towels rinse" are really the best trade off price/quality

As Passatdoc said in another thread, can't understand why they did't write °C/°F and RPM.
I almost realize why they don't write real degrees on the ctrl panel (many people are used to non heated washer, so they have tap cold fill, mixed fills, tank-hot fill ).
But what about spin speed ?!? Why didn't they write no spin-hold-400-600-900-1100-1300 as they do elsewhere in the world ?

The same about "heavy soil". If they wrote "prewash" as elsewhere, one knew had to put detergent in the prewash compartement too, without reading the manual. It' so strange .. *LOL*

Anyway, best ... washes !! :-))

Me too, I always wonder about that!

This is what they call the Americanized version

Most people that I know don't worry about spin speeds unless there is some sensation around it. 1000 rpm spin, amazing! I like 800 rpm for perm press, jeans, otherwise they wrinkle badly. I have a client that I do sheets for that has thin sheets that I also use 800 for. There is nothing like having them set in before they go in the dryer.
As far as big loads in the dryer, yes, it is not good to overload this one, as things will not dry all of the way, and they will have wrinkles in my experience. I also do not have the washer hooked up to hot as it has a heating element in it. Miele says that it was ok, so that is what I did and have not looked back. This model heats all the way to 190F or 95C.

I love the 1213! Is is just as flexible and programmable as the earlier 1918 or 1926? (high water level Cotton rinses, flush prewash compartment for main wash, add 3rd rinse to rapid option, etc)

wrinkles @ 800 rpm perma press spin ....

Having the Touchtronic the honeycomb drum, this sounds strange to me. My brother's W3264 spins @ 1200 rpm on P.P. and doesn' t make them.
Even mine (with the vintage microhole drum) @ 900 PP spin doesn't.

Maybe those perma-loads were over half drum ?
As I don' t know what's an iron, I'm a perma press addicted and I seldom bobload, so to avoid new knowledges ;-)

I couldn't believe US miele models haven't intervalled spins feature (tumble-burst-tumble-burst-tumble-spin-tumble-spin-tumble-end)

i usually like to Bob load it really

irishwashguy's profile picture
Maybe it is ust the way that grew up, you just do not do anything but a full load.I am pratical that way.

sensitive option helps to avoid wrinkles

Ok, now that's no more a mystery ;-)
Have to admit sometimes I Bobload too ... so I push "sensitive"

I have "sensitive" set with higher water level and further rinse, this helps a little in case of Bobloads.

Usually, as faithful devotee, I respect the half drum load commandment on perma press *LOL*. This really works even with "impossible" items such as a rough natural linen shirt. Just a shake, then let it dry on a hanger and it doesn't need ironing

I'm also amazed by the woolens handwash programmes. They are safe even on dry clean only items(i.e.cashmere wool). At first sight they seem a bit odd - wool washed with low level ?!? - Indeed I take to the dry cleaner only big coats since I have the W844
Anyway Bobloads are strictly forbidden on handwash programmes *LOL*

I will have to try that

I guess that I get in such habit of filling the machine up that you sometimes forget basic things like this. I do wear alot of jeans, I just use the wrinkle free setting or set the spin slower and presto! no wrinkles! Wrinkle free is usually what I set it on to have a quick program. I have it all the way down to 37 min, and less as the machine figures out that it is my rare time that I would have a two item load, ie when I am washing my uniform for work and need it because it is my only one I have at the moment. Even at 37 min, perfection! It is funny since I bought this set, my Mother had some sweaters that she wanted me to get a stain out of. No problem, I am an old hand at that no matter what the machine. When I gave my Mom her sweaters back, she thought that I bought her new ones. They were not cream colored any more, they were white. She said that they looked better than when they were new. Dirt is not a fashion statement is one of my favorite sayings.

i went to go visit my friend in maryland. he had the exact same pair. when i walked into the laudry room i was shocked. i had expected a whirlpool ar kenmore. but there was a beautiful miele touchtronic set. very small might i add, but they wash well. i had made a custome setting it was:
sanitize wash
extended spin
sanitize rinse
extra rinse
ex. high spin
