Just have blamed E'lux as it "killed" zanussi and is "killing" AEG.

Indeed I remember in late 70s / early 80s Swedish E'lux appliances had a nice reputation. Our old miele dealer said he gave up with e'lux because of their prices he had few sales, so he changed to "cheaper" mieles ......

Does someone have any info - pics - brochures of them ?

Here in the US, Electrolux Sweden is capitalizing on the Electrolux USA name that they bought-out and are now entitled to use.

Methinks most North American consumers have no idea that Electrolux vaccum cleaners of today [i.e. Electrolux Sweden]have ZERO relationship to those classic, indestructible work-horses of yesteryear that solidified the name's assocation (in this country) with very high-quality durable vacuum cleaners of a generation ago.

What was known as Electrolux (USA) is now badged AERUS.

wikipedia helps .......

E'lux history is a neverending tale as Lost or Beautiful :-)

..... Husqvarna .... here they are chain saws and lawn mowers ... in Scandinavia it's used to rebadge Zannnies too.

Indeed an Husqvarna washer had been fit for Jack Nicholson on Shining *LOL*

Either it is a great prank, or someone needs to do a better job of proof-reading:

Pipe under: "2008"

"2008: Electrolux are shitintroduces the Inspiro, an oven that detects properties of the oven's contents and automatically preselects what it determines is the best heating mode."

E.lux made their compactmachines in Sweden until a couple of years ago. My EW1170C is Swedish made, but my brand new bench dishwasher ESF2410 is only "Made in E.U", probably in Poland or so, like many of the other cheap E.lux's and Zanussi's.
