Wow........what a fantastic job you have done, and so quickly too!! Old indesits are my favorite machines, I love the motor sound and the spin/drain.....gave me many happy hours watching my Auntys machines.

Paul.

What a wonderful restoration! You sure did a great job on that machine. I remember similar models but can't remember from when they are, do you know how old this machine is?

BTW, what does the Bio button do?

Louis

FANTASTIC!

what a superb restoration of a classic early 80s indesit.
The same machine appeared in the 1982 autumn/winter edition of Kays Catalogue in the UK.

The standard of retoration is exquisite - I can't wait to seee some videos - hint hint!

Brilliant stuff.
Paul

Thank you all very much!

I found the machine in a "farm"... really don't know nothing about her age but I suppose is of course before 80s... may be 1976-1978... boh!

The BIO is hard to explain in few words... is a special soaking phase during the prewash (program 1) or the wash (the following ones). The machine stops for an indefinitive periode of time untill you go there and press again the button.
This was to allow that era's detergents to be more effective on stains removing.

Videos will come soon!!! I restored the machine so fast for a "mercatino", it was only for a stand examples, I've to connect the motor yet and checked the heaters...

BYE
Diomede

Sorry...I'm mistaking
it must be a 80s machine as you Paul said... not sure for the correct date but I'll check it as soon as possible.

Hi Diomede, congrats on a stunning re-build, lovely to see a classic restored to its former life...you much be really pleased!!!, such a simple design, easy to forget that this model still had the motor driven pump, I remember first selling these in 1982 at Trident , one of the first independant electrical stores over here!!!

Just look at the size of the bearing housing, no wonder these machines just kept on going!!! well done, Mike

This is a stunning restoration, the time and effort that you have put in is to your credit.

I presume that you re-sprayed the cabinet....... if you did, what did you use ? a spray gun or aerosol paints

Thanks for putting this Indesit machine up for all to see
Gary

I presume that you re-sprayed the cabinet.......

Gary, the cabinet was brushed before all, then treated with a spray-filler and then scrubbed again and again with filler...ad scrub again!! :D This is the way I prepare the cabinet for be painting and then a common acrilic spray paint. On the link above you found an example, here the "appliance white" is coded with RAL9010.
