Recently got a KA Energy Saver V portable dishwasher that looked almost brand new but leaks onto the floor as the cycle progresses and doesn't always start unless the dial has been flipped around a few times, not a rapidly resetting one? Your help and expertise will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sounds like you have timer issues. Have you tried finding a replacement timer? You might call Midwest Timer Service, they may still have one on the shelf for that KA model.

Remove the lower front panel and see if you can determine where the water is coming from. Check hoses, sump, etc. Usually a large amount of water getting loose is relatively easy to locate and solve.
