LOL, I'm showing my age, I'm 35 next week!! I'm actually in the process of converting my millions of videos to DVD, which is taking forever. I found a program by Garry Lavin 'Every home should have one'. It had a bit on washers on it, does anyone remember the program? Rob CLICK HERE TO GO TO robm's LINK |

Hi Mike It was a new style Hottie from about 2001 I think! They also featured a see through machine and showed a Hoover twin tub. I would put it on youtube but I'm worried about copyright and I wouldn't want to lose my account. Hi Paul That would be very interesting. I'm intrigued at what they might come up with! Rob |

Have my thumb poised on the record button already.....!!!! Just checked the website......no sign of the Reason machine...looks like its gunna be Indesit Moon, LG steam washer and the 2000rpm Gorenje.....plus the Electrolux washing basket! If it's VA TL how on earth does it "tumble dry"? Or do you think they just mean "spin" dry?

Yh LG go on The LG finished first and washed the best, then indesit finished and then the gorenje finished! I knew the LG would win and everyone at home saw it and say that we've already had one LG which was passed on to my grand mother when her hoover logic 1200 died! We all want the 9kg silver 1400 spin LG Steam, when the dyson is dead. Thanks every1. |

Are washing machines so high-tech that they are considered vital to the national defense? *LOL* |

I hate how the BBC does that! It only allows UK residents to view its online content. If some kind person uploads it to Youtube, we could all enjoy this program. How cool would it be to have a "Top Gear" style programme just for appliances! |

Hi all, glad you caught this last night! It was quite fun to watch but I wish they had included a few other bits. For example, they talked about the 2000rpm spin but nothing about the spinning results. They also did not mention what sort of detergent they were using. I did not expect the name but was it biological or sensitive? I would have liked to have seen something more about the noise, perhaps a quick flash of the spins. This is particularly relevant in open plan living. I did, however note Anthea's comment about the Moon and not seeing what was going on - washer hell for us! I definately agree with their choice, the LG is a lovely machine! Shame Miele had not been included though! I have attached a link that will hopefully work for all! It's such a pain when things won't play outside your own country. Rob PS one other thing! I've always thought this washer hobby to be a bit odd but then I found the toy car racing utterly boring. I'm not knocking it but it really shows each to their own! Most hobbies are a bit odd when you think about it! CLICK HERE TO GO TO robm's LINK |
