Well I knew that I had seen a TV add as a kid with Dame Edna and the Whirlpool washers.... This, as a guess, is the TOL version or may have been the following years.... CLICK HERE TO GO TO ronhic's LINK |

Correct... ...and so is mine currently. All Australian made Westinghouse, Simpson and Electrolux (and 'normal' F&P) dryers are made to be able to be wall mounted. My Hoover dryer that matched the Electra was originally wall mounted, but could also be stacked on the machine with a frame from Hoover (they were slightly smaller dimensionally). I believe that the Haier sensor dryer that we can now buy here is a clone of my old Hoover....it is dimensionally identical and even has the 'flip over' drying rack...how I miss that! The Westinghouse dryer that I have now is mounted upside down on the wall above my front load washer. It makes sense. Rather than take up floor space or ruin a work surface, wall mount...mind, they are only vented models and are quite lightly built compared to a Bosch or AEG but are slightly lighter (I think) than an Indesit vented dryer. Having said that, I dry 4 loads a week, sometimes more and the Hoover lasted 13yrs and, yet again, a friend has it who fixed... CLICK HERE TO GO TO ronhic's LINK |
