I have a set of the Maytag A207 & DG407 (harvest gold color)in great shape! They have been kept in great working condition for the past 30+ years. I bought my uncle a new set of the steam washer & dryers. He is now wanting to know what to do with the old set he purchased in 1974. He still has owners manuals and receipts from original purchase (and every service receipt with his notes of service call). What are the machines worth? What should we do with them?

As a Valentine bebe myself, born February 14th, I would highly suggest some pictures on this site to see if anyone here wants them as conditon is really important.

Then, go from there.
It is hard to put a price on anything, and ultimately, things are worth what someone will actually pay for it.

" What should we do with them?"

Why you should simply rent a truck and drive them out to my friends in Morongo Valley; when I tour Palm Springs with
my extravaganza near the end of February I'll "take care"
of them for you! And because this is your first "thread"
there will be no charge to you! Welcome to AW.O !!!!
Love , frontal

Those were most certainly well taken care of. Sure hope they find a loving home!

I'm about 25 miles south of downtown L.A. and if I had not just brought home a Maytag A806 (and others) on Saturday I would be contacting you about these! What a really nice set!

Hey Darrel (frontal), if you are interested in buying them I have plenty of room and would be happy to store them for a month or so until you can come pick them up. (A very serious offer, BTW)

Kevin

I guess I need to clarify.

I guess I need to clarify what I was asking due to emails.

My uncle seems to think that the machines have a high value as a vintage or collectors piece. I told him that I would research and ask over the internet what the machines are worth and what we should do with them.

Should we list them on a site like Ebay? What are they worth?

I guess I am asking for advise.

But if anyone is interested in purchasing the machines send me an email.

Thank you!

Similar set on Craig's List here in Sacramento

Probably $200. for the set is a maximum.

That is the exact washer (except for the color) that I grew up with! Awesome set!

Those are nice.

Of course Maytag is probably the most common of the vintage brands. I see them all the time on CL here in San Antonio. These would be worth more if they were top-of-the-line. Notice these are small capacity.

And not everyone likes Harvest Gold color.
