Kenmore set in white and appears to be in excellent shape and only for $100.

AWESOME!

These are 1968 Model 70s. Actually they are a continuation of the 1967 Model 70. These have the clear plastic dial and the gold Super Rotoswirl, whereas the 1967 built versions had black dials, and also a black SRS. My friend had the exact washer pictured above, but his was paired with a 1968 Match All dryer that had the stand up console and the full width door. The ones pictured here are gorgeous machines, and the consoles on these are my favorite of all Kenmores.

Have a good one,
James

I was actually considering it!!!!

But then I thought about trying to plan the logistics of arranging payment, hoping the seller is willing to hold them for the shipper, arranging for shipping, etc, etc, etc....

I think it would be too much (trouble & cost) to try to get them to Los Angeles.

I just talked with the seller. The washer and dryer came with a house they purchased, and have both been used recently but are currently disconnected and are sitting in the basement. The woman was agreeable to a long-distance purchase, but when she checked with her husband the response was that they would prefer to deal with a local purchase only. SaltySam, if you're close by you might consider purchasing them and offering to others on this website.

Hey Lawrence,
I am close I'm only 15 minutes from the seller.......but one of our other members (movieguy - Travis) is going to get them. One thing to keep in mind is if anytime there is a set close and someone far away wants to get them. I would be more than willing to pick the set up and hold them at my place till they could arrange shipping. We're here to help each other, right?

They're home with Tim

I only went after them because I didn't think anyone would. Tim emailed me and I provided the truck. The pair has been saved and fortunately not in my house. Best of luck with them Tim.
