The problem could posibly be the capacitor.It's usualy in the rear right corner at the base inside under the outer tub.It regulates the power.If it is faulty,the motor won't rev up the tork for the spin.It could also be the electronic board that programs the cycles.The board is usualy expensive(around $200) but the capacitors usualy run anywhere fron $45 to $100.Good luck!!

so it does everything properly except the drum never turns? If so, it is probably motor brushes. These are easy to replace and not expensive. It is a particularly common repair on these UK Hotpoint front loaders. Chris |
