if anyone is looking for parts for old kitchenaids there are a lot still out there, some still being made. pump seals, wash impellers, pump housings (with a few exceptions)can be found by going to hobartservice.com and then to "smartparts". thanks to the help from stevet here on the site and the friendly employee at hobart i learned that the wm-2 series comercial machines uses the same parts as the 15-17 series home use machines (with a few exceptions ofcourse). the later 18-20 home use machines use the same parts as the wm-5 and this is all available for viewing on the website, including part numbers and diagrams.
i also checked and found that the pump seal for the older kd-12 model is still available (thanks to stevet again). i did order one from hobart yesterday. i am assuming it would fit the kd-13 or 10-11 models as well, correct me if i'm wrong steve.
so anyone like myself who collects old kitchenaids will be able to keep them running for a good while! i guess the main reason we can get parts for these as opposed to parts for other brands of the same era is that hobart used the same parts in both their home and comercial models so they still make them available for the wm comercial models at least!
