On the weekend, I had a chance to visit a local hardware store where I was told they had 'tons of vintage stuff'. They sure did! I spotted three older wringer washers - all claim to be in working order and are in overall good shape. I neglected to load my memory card into my camera, so I don't have photos, but if there is any interest here, I can try and get some.
The three machines are:
1) Late 60's Speed Queen - square tub with a white agitator (looks just like my 68 Simplicity)
2) Early 60's RCA Whirlpool - round tub, basic-looking model (not the Surgilator-sorry!); has blue bakelite control knobs (never seen that before)
3) Early to mid 50's Westinghouse - round tub, ridged at the bottom; has a timer; drain hose has been replaced (badly).
If anyone is interested, please contact me.
