Just at the final stages of selecting the appliances, today were the dishwashers. The old ones were a pair of 4 year old KUDSxxx KitchenAids, which worked really well, and were very quiet. I was at the dealer this afternoon, (ended up with the Miele Touchtronic G2732 SCi washers) and noticed that KitchenAid is no longer using 4 arm hydro sweep? Is this correct? So, now what is the difference between Whirlpool and KA?

HydroSwept(away)?

I bet you saw the new style Econo or enviro machines from KA..Actually the same as the KM/Bosch units. Supposedly very energy efficient(yeah! like don't we all know better)_

I think you will find them on the KA website.
I will look for an old post on the KA forum where Angel explained the features of them. Parts lists are already available on the KA site as well.

Just another product line!

check the KA website

KUDE series.. go to product literature and check page 7 of the Use and Care Guide PDF. You will see the single arm and filtration system. Identical to the Kenmores!

Okay, so seriously

So, help me out here. Why would someone pay a premium for a nameplate? Tell me the motor is different, the pump is different, the plastic is different.

Why would someone pay more for the exact the same product?

Maybe a group of us should get together, develop our own specialty and exclusive product name, mie-sub-wolf line of products, and just put that on kenmores?

Leslie (who of all here would know) was telling me the new KA is using a new Euro coreless or brushless motor that is supposedly very quiet.. He'll have to chime in though.. my knowledge on it is as you can see miserable.. LOL

Yoo hoo Leslie,,, expertise needed here.

I have the Kenmore Elite HE dishwasher with stainless steel tub. It has alternating wash arms (plastic, unfortuneatly), rotating Turbo-Zone jets at the back of the tub, and is WHISPER QUIET. Have been very impressed so far with cleaning abilty. Long cycles times, though it does have a "1 hour wash", and "smartwash" as well. It has no food chopper, and a removable filter ala Bosch.
