In addition to the other new addition to my collection, I ALSO brought THIS home!

What can you tell me about it? Age, etc.

Thanks!
Kevin

you got a superba!

it's a suberba 16 series, how bout some more pics of that baby!!

i checked the production charts given to me by a member on this site and 16's were made between 1968 and 1971. i have been told they are hard to find. i found an imperial on e bay recently, for under 20 bucks!

if you ever want to sell it I am def interested!

thanks, enjoy it

what a classy dishwasher!!!!!

it's beautiful! a superba 16 model with those great "party" cycles! looks like new, probably runs like new also! and yes, when i picked up that 16 imperial off e bay recently when i unpacked it it had stainless door panels too! so i guess they started with the 16 series, correct me if i'm wrong anyone out there. love that control panel that the 16's and 17's have!

one great find! and another small step in preserving these beautiful classy dishwashers! nothing today compares in my book! congrats again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Party vs. Daily Use.

What buttons do you push if every day is a party?

LOL!!

I wonder what the difference is between daily use and party mode? Longer cycles? Hotter water? All of the above?

everyday was a party when this dishwasher was made

i was wrong about the stainless front debut on the 16 models, just checked a brochure i got today with my kd-5 portable top loader and it does list the kd-15 models with either a stainless or brushed chrome front among others. so they were used on earlier models. i wonder if the 10-14 models were available with them?

the "party cycles" included a light wash for all those bar glasses we used to go thru in the 70's on a daily basis, a plate warm cycle to give that special touch to all those wonderful dinner parties people were always throwing, and a cancel drain cycle for when we were too high or drunk to make up our mind which cycle we wanted to use in the first place.

NICE!

I used to clean house for this lady during the 80's and her whole kitchen was stainless steel except for the refrigerator. She had a Frigidaire built-in oven with double doors that opened outward from the middle and a Frigidaire electric cooktop, and KitchenAid dishwasher. She used to piss me off because she had all this nice stuff, and wouldn't take care of it.

I am looking forward to playing with this and finding out if it even works (the seller seemed to think it didn't). I am really surprised just how CLEAN this KA is!

don't give up if it doesn't work

there are plenty of people here who can help you get it running like new again. parts are still available!
