Congrats on being featured! My only hope is that they go a little further into their issue of energy use if they're going to bring it up. An older appliance using a little more energy than a new one is NOT the reason to get a new one. There should be an explanation as to how much energy is used making newer disposable appliances that get replaced every 5 years as opposed to running the same appliance for 50-60 years without the need for new ones. I'm very proud of our group members saving items from going into landfills and not going out and buying the same old cheap garbage in the stores now that would soon be going into the same landfills over and over again. I love the story about the wood stove too! That must have been a special treat to have a true turn of the century home-cooked meal like that! Jon |
