Model FAV6800. I have one, currently on stand-by. It's an interesting machine, but has a couple faults. The main glitch I've seen is that it doesn't do well on small loads due to the design. Even a set of sheets run solo tends to not get rolled over much except on the Heavy cycle. I've not had anything that didn't come out clean, but there were also two incidents of clothing damage. A pair of jeans suffered a small cut at the crotch, which may not have happened if I'd washed them zipped. A cotton thermal blanket stretched and slightly torn in a couple spots, washed with towels & other cottons, possibly got stretched across the basket during the 850 RPM spin. The clutch can be problematical. Mine went bad after 5 months, repaired under warranty, I haven't used it since the repair but will move it back to action at some point. Being that the machine on the sale is (supposedly) 3 years old, the clutch is likely OK. They sold new for $900 to $1200 as I recall -- there was also an FAV9800 with onboard water heating and a touchscreen panel like the Neptune 7500 frontloader. |
