My Duet is 4 yrs old. I always use either the whitest whites cycle or heave duty cycle w/extra rinse. Both cycles use three rinses. What I have noticed is that the very FIRST interim spin on some loads, not all, almost spins at a low speed, not the regular interim spin speed, the other spins are fine. I realize the very final spin is the fastest but still the usual interim spins are pretty decently fast. The machine is working flawlessly otherwise. I don't hear any strange noises, nothing. I just happened to be in the laundry room and was folding a load of clothes when I noticed the first spin didn't ramp up quite as high as it normally did, it was almost as if I had the first spin set to low or something. Since then I have paid attention more so and notice this happens about two times every 5 loads or so, again only on the first interim spin. Any idea what this could be?

One of the most interesting ( can also be a real pain in the ass)features on most of the current front loaders is the ballance system they use to determen the speed that will safely extract water with the least vibration. The need to spin out more water is not as important between the wash and first two rinses as it is during the third or final rinse. The low detergent usage as well as three rinses guarantee to remove all residual detergent from the clothes. If you do only a few pieces, there is more of a chance you'll have problems with the efficiancy of the spin.My L.G worked great with that but,my GE Profile(made by Frigidaire)woult try but fail and cause me to need to throw in a few bath towels to help ballance the load so it would spin.
