I know of a late 1950’s gas Speed Queen dryer that has been in use until just recently. The pilot light doesn't seem to want to stay lit on it any more. The owner recently passed away, and the house, which just sold is being cleared out. The dryer, currently in the basement will be hauled away within a week or so. Cosmetically it looks very good; no major scratches or rust. It is in Dearborn, not far from Detroit.
Should anyone be interested, I can help you to coordinate a pickup/purchase with the owner. I cannot however, help to move it. I wasn't sure if this was worth posting as we don't seem to have much interest in older "Queens", but thought I would give it a try anyway. If you are in fact seriously interested. Please post back as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Ken
