hi, all
my uncle had a bendix washer that he got as a wedding present in 1990, it lasted until 98(i think) but anyway i never got any pictres of it or anything

i can only vagely remember what it looks like, it was all white including the facia, had a round door, with a big door catch, it had one programme dial and it had one slanted button it was either half load or on/off not sure, it didn't have the philico/bendix drum,

it had a drum like the whirlpool drums today,

its recking my head not really knowing anything about it, except that it was really quiet never broke in all its life, does anyone recall these machines or have any picuters of any of them, i would love to know more about it.
thanks

hi Luke,

had it a big dial (bigger than typical Bendix ones) looking like those of some Aquarius, but having thicker frames ? Better, was it the same as those ones of the Ariston Margherita series ?
If it was like that, I think such machine here was sold badged Philco P 44(Graziella series). Actually it was Ariston (Telcom) made

Sorry, can't post any pic, my scanner is back on strike :-(

TRICITY-Bendix !!

This is E'ux stuff . Bendix (without Tricity) were made in italian Philco plants (... close to Orio al Serio, our RyanAir hub)

Tricity-Bendix is one the british badges for Zanussi(Electrolux) appliances (made in Italy too, just closer to Venice). This very style of machine came out in Italy badged as Zoppas, so I'd dare to say that in the meanwhile it was sold in Germany as Privileg.

My grandma had this machine, it was a 1988-1990 bendix autowasher deluxe 1000. she had this machine from 1988-2001, i remember sundays, getting up early in the morning to put on a wash with my grandma, washing the pubs teatowels at 95 degrees with big box persil automatic, soooo 1990s =p

she replaced it with a bosch precision machine, which is one of the last decent bosch machines.

my auntie had the same machine only it had one button (half load) and a programme dial only. and had an 800rpm spin speed and hers lasted from 1989-2003, then she replaced it with a bosch maxx

these machines are zanussi/electrolux on the inside, but they were sold as priveleg in germany/ arthur martin in france.

They also had the jetsystem on some of the machines, it was called Shower System I think. or the priveleg Multispar (see video on youtube of the spinwash)

overall very good machines!!

Rinsing Fault

Zanussi_Lover

We shared a childhood! LOL thats exactly how I used to spend Sunday mornings. The EXACT same machine, Big Box of persil that had the plastic cup measurer. Remember the machine did an extra rinse after the fabric softener rinse?!

My gran only ever used the 95C cycle and adjusted the temp accordingly. the 60/40 cotton cycles were far too short for her liking.

Good deep rinses and great inter wobbily spins at 4/500rpm!
