LK set

nice set, wish they were here in L.A. I'd replace my '78 LK's with them

These are pretty close to Pensacola, Florida. I think I just may inquire!

In keeping with the Star Wars stuff going around...those must have been Darth Vader's laundry set!

They certainly are cool looking machines though in black. I guess they were trying to make them look like the crop of HiFi equipment that was being produced about the same time

During my last soiree into the local Sears Outlet it was obvious that black appliances far outnumbered white ones followed closely by the SS. I wonder if people buy them and then once they get them into the house hate it and send them back.

I agree, if Darth Vader had a laundry set, those Kenmores would be it!!!! Not a trace of white on them!

electronics

When this generation came out, I felt sort of cheated because they actually put more features on these than I had on electronic set.

Love the black!

Auction states they are only five years old. The washer is a direct-drive and the 27" dryer with a recent motor issue leads me to believe their age estimate is pretty close.

Make it fabulous!

Now a W&D like those ---- IMHO---- :

1) need to be in a clutter-free zone.
2) need white walls and a gray carpet. (And hide your wood, baby)
3) need a "period" piece of artwork above the machines. I recommend Robin Morris' "Alone in a crowd" (see link... LOL) But nearly any piece of hers seems to work.
4) need track lights, black or white. I'm not fussy. LOL

..and as it happens I just so happen to have that piece of artwork available for sale. LOL

*SIGH* I was such a FABULOUS "DECORATOR" in my day.. LOL LOL
