Here is a close up of the agitator.. It looks like it has a pin that is pressed into it.. Should this be removed? Matthew |

You have to undo the screws at the bottom and the whole thing will lift out in one piece. It's probably the engaging spring which you can get to underneath the machine. Follow the agitator engage switch on the side of the machine and follow the linkage to the bottom and over. If wringer works, then tranny shouldn't be the problem. With a Speed Queen the trannys rarely go. This is in fact a Speed Queen with a rebadge.
