A lady contacted me today about her G.E. Electric Sink that is in their Chicago Bungalow. Sounds like the drain valve is missing. I don't have a spare - the 1950 Electric Sink that I picked up in Duluth was missing the drain valve, bottom rack, etc.

The photos below show the drain assembly. It's G.E. part numbers are: WD18X3 Overflow Tubing and Base Asm, and the WD1X33 Cap.

Does anyone have one of these in their stash and would be willing to sell?

I'm also showing how the Overflow assembly seats in the Drain Valve Casting.

I'm also showing the Drain Tube lift lever and it's own rubber seal. The original from my 1948 Electric Sink drain valve assembly is on the left. Fortunately, the valve and seal from the 1950 machine was in perfect shape and was used as a replacement. The lift lever one on the right, is one that I made using bulk rubber gasket material and Silicon Sealer. This one replaced the original (also in photo) in my 1951 G.E. Drawer Dishwasher.

Does anyone have any of these Drain Tube Lift lever assemblies in their stash? NOS ones would be so wonderful to find. I could use them in the future.

The lady also mentioned that the cover lift assembly is broken. I don't know if she needs the assembly that slips on over the tub screw (on left in photo), or the one that is screwed directly to the tub (on right in photo - this one is a spare if that's the one she needs).

Does anyone have an extra cover lift assembly like the one shown on the left in the photo?

Mike

Because I'd be happy to pass one along to you!
I did recently find a machine shop in Ogden where the owner claims he can make "any metal part you might need"; the only problem would be that he'd need the original part to copy. If all else fails, let me know and maybe this solution would work for you!!

Paul, That's a possibility - one could be fashioned from my good drain valve. Thanks for the suggestion. I will certainly keep that in mind if we are unable to come up with one here.
