I found this on Craiglist here in Montreal; the ad said 'Frigidaire washer 20 years old' but methinks it may be older. I've sent the seller an email asking if they could supply the model number and I also asked if this one has the pulsator-style of agitator.
Anyone have an idea of what model this might be?? The slanted control panel is screaming that the machine is older than 20 to me!!

1961-1963, probably a Deluxe (too many knobs to be a Super)

YES, GO GET IT. Fancier than the one on My Theee Sons, but of the same vintage.

Ooo, cool find. Multimatic Madness! Hopefully you take your camera with you :D

Saw the matching Deluxe dryer behind Menards a few years ago. Left it there - it was gas.

Hey TurquoiseDude......Nice catch! Just be careful laying that Multi-Matic on its side......you will get oil leakage out of the transmission. There is an upper oil seal where the shaft comes out of the top of the tranny but it usually doesn't seal all that well. The service manual states that you can lay the machine over on its side/back or front but you have to prop it up approx. 6 inches to keep the oil from leaking out. Just thought I would let you know so you don't get oil all over the wagon. Also it would be a good idea to check the oil level before you fire it up.

Hard to tell from that angle, but green/gold tones on console remind me of a '63.

How could I resist??? I placated hubby by telling him it was for "Resale" - that may only be in 2038, but what the heck!
As it happens, the station wagon rear seats provide a natural incline so the washer did not stay flat on it's side.
Gosh, I am soooo excited! My second vintage Frigidaire find in a month! I will be posting pictures and full chronicle about the washer after I play with it this weekend. And stay tuned about the other vintage Frigidaire!
OH, and I think the washer is indeed a 63 model - saw a number on the wiring diagram WCA63 that kinda gave me the hint.
OH, and it's a Canadian-made Frigidaire. I didn't think they built 'em up here!
Forgive the gushing... I can't wait to fire this one up!!
