That machine is from the late seventies or early 80, definitely not a 1950's machine!

Definitely not the 1950's. I get September 1971. You can tell it's an earlier "S" model (safety) because of the decal in the back. The later ones (from the late 1970's to 1983) were a silver decal.

The safety clutch/pedal came out in (October?) 1969 to satisfy the United Laboratories request for increased safety in wringer washing machines.

Also, red accents were used from 1939 to December 1965. January 1966 marked the beginning of the turquoise accents and the start of the "06" series in automatics.

Your washer could be from the early 70's. My aunt and uncle had the exact same machine that they bought in the early 70's 71 or 2.
