I was in Kmart/sears today and I decided to have a look the new machines. I don't do this too often, but it's good to check up on things every once in a while...so I saw several Kenmore washer and dryer sets and I noticed that they are no longer named 70 series, 80 series, etc. but 400, 500, 700, etc. This reminds me of the naming convention found on some of the older machines (60's and 70's) So, my question is, When did the model name change for the new Kenmores? Why do you guys/gals think they were changed?
