Across the street from our shop is another. He sells all used and specializes in Whirlpool and Kenmore. He has this portable roll around set there and they've got to be the oldest portables I've ever seen. I thought they were toys at first but after a closer look, they're real enough. Small, too! I hear they're from the 40's. Anybody ever see ones like these before? Who made them?
From the tag...
Washer: 305.73360
110-120v, 60cycle, 3a, 220watts. Made in USA
And yes, that's a hand driven wringer...

This thing's just as small as the washer. Real light too.

Those ARE pretty small! What do they want for them, or are they for sale???

Here is a small WP "table top" washer I am baby sitting, next to my Universal wringer.

I think someone here got that dryer some time ago. I don't remember who, but someone must.

YEARS ago, I had a Kenmore like the little Whirlpool in RevvinKevin's pictures. It had no agitator, didn't work, the tranny was long rusted/seized. I had a Whirlpool red bakelite straight-vane agitator that I worked manually in the tub.

Kenmore portable age

These kenmores were in the sears stores in the mid 60's. The dryer has the same knobs as roper built kenmore electric ranges from the early 1960's
