Hello!

I need a manual for a kenmore visi matic wringer washing machine. I am having problems with the wringer not staying lached in the lock posistion. The rollors are not tight enough to wring out the water... anyone have any ideas?

thanks,

Matthew

isn't there and adjustment knob to increase tension on the rollers?

What year is your Visimatic?

I have the manual that covers the Whirlpool/Kenmore's from the early sixties to the early seventies. Many of these machines did not use an adjustable tensioner on the rollers. My machine had a problem with the wringer jumping off the post. Turned out to be a small pin that held one of the gears in place. I don't quite know how to upload the manual onto the computer, but I will sure make a copy and send it to you. E-mail me if you need it!!

kenmore wringer

Hi Matthew, Did you latch the wringers before trying to use? If not, lever will not stay engaged, and there will be a gap of about a half inch. Latching(locking in operating position) depends on model and year made. Early visimatics have an end panel which swings down, newer ones have a lever under the operating(direction) lever which swings out away from wringer body, while latest ones have a knob you pull out under direction lever. As for owners book,I have a couple for late 1950s models. Ebay currently has one available....look under "kenmore wringer", good luck,Walt
