Are those hard water deposits?

If so, maybe run a cycle with CLR or Limeaway in the Sansi-wash

a man after my own heart!!!

saving another beautiful kitchenaid. and a superba!

very nice. i bought some stuff at home depot called zep calcium, rust, and stain remover that did a halfway decent job on my kd-5 tub. but i'm always looking for the ultimate product myself so will be interested too if anyone has a better product!

have fun with your new kitchenaid, love the control panel on that one. i don't have an 18 yet, have 2 19's and a bunch of 17's. have an 18 waiting for me in akron ohio if i can get up there to get it. not a superba though.

that's a nice one

i couldn't disagree with you!

i have a bunch of kitchenaids as they are my favorites and even though my personal favorite is the 17 series i won't say that a 17 is a better machine than an 18! i just like the earlier models without the upper spray arm for special reasons. they remind me of my childhood!

i have heard a lot of complaints against the 19 series and once you get to the 21 series they are not the same machine at all! that reversing motor turns me off, as well as the heating element above the water line. i have a 21, it's ok but not a "real" kitchenaid in my book. i have a 23 and it's even a bigger turn off to me!

i have heard a lot of guys on this site say the 18 is the best ever made! makes sense to me. you get an upper spray arm and that great pump and that 1/2 h.p. motor combined with the water heating element in the sump and a heated dry that the 19 lacks!

funny, i have 17 kitchenaids and not one of em is an 18! gotta change that!

With the 18...

There is also the Over Head Constant Rinse. That's the feature that was short lived but I think makes it better.

Beautiful machine, it sure looks like a 17 from the outside, I love that styling. That is my favorite KA. matt
