An older gentlemen near me in Orange County (CA) called asking if I would be interested in this GE washer and dryer. Personally I don't, but I told him I would try posting it here on AW to see if anyone out here might be interested in them. As you can see they both need a thorough (exterior) cleaning and the washer has a broken belt (easily repaired). The washer does NOT have the mini-wash feature, just so you know. He asked to "make an offer" and I'm sure you can get them at a VERY GOOD price. (maybe $50 - $75 for both? Just a guess) IF you have any questions or if you have any interest, please e-mail me and I will give you his contact information. Revvinkevin@gmail.com Thanks Kevin |

I was told by a guy who assembled these machines and he claimed it was their attempt at the so called overflo filtering considering lint floated...out the top holes to the outter tub and into the pump to be filtered...in theory...but proven not to be a very good design..so they went to others...another attempt at machine designs that they put out on the market and wait for the customer complaints before they consider other designs...why test it in the lab first...let the customers have all the issues...save money that way...and yet they claim these new features are what their customers have told them they want....I have never met one person who was ever asked by a manufacturer what they wanted in a machine....... has anyone here ever been asked? |

I would be interested in the agitator. My father has a GE Filter Flo with the ramp agitator (1994) and I was always wondering if this straight vane agitator suits. :) But this is just a "dream" of mine. Here in Europe we don't have american top loaders. Imagine if I can find a spare part of an old one. hehe :)) Ingemar |
